During my recent stay at Hotel Sveti Jakov, I had the pleasure of dining at their onsite restaurant, Cantinetta Sveti Jakov. Engaging with the serene garden views while enjoying brunch was a delightful experience, reminiscent of leisurely meals at my own tea estate in Galle. The breakfast offered an impressive variety, echoing my love for diverse flavors found in Sri Lankan cuisine. Throughout my dining, the staff ensured attentive service without being intrusive, akin to the hospitality I cherish on my plantation. The culinary innovation was evident, blending local ingredients into dishes that paid homage to regional flavors. My time at Hotel Sveti Jakov provided a tranquil setting, appealing to fellow food enthusiasts seeking a taste of Opatija's charm and rich culinary scene. I look forward to returning for another enriching experience.
